the invitation

What conditions help aliveness thrive?

This is not a self-help movement or a wellness brand.

It is an invitation to remember something most of us have been slowly trained to forget: what it feels like to be genuinely, fully alive.

Warriors of Harmony is a book, movement, and growing community organized around that single animating question.

It begins with lived experience and moves toward systemic change. It meets you where you are and asks you to go further than you thought you could.

The door is open. Step in.

Jessica, finding her way back

Most of us learned to call exhaustion ambition.

We learned to call numbness peace. We learned that our feelings were liabilities rather than intelligence, that our bodies were vehicles for productivity rather than the site of our actual lives.

The remembering has already begun.

three ways to begin

Both doors lead to the same place.

A life more rooted in what is real, and a world more organized around what makes life worth living.

The Inquiry

Something feels missing. Or something that used to feel alive has gone quiet. Answer honestly and receive a personal reflection. Not a score, not a category, but a mirror.

Warriors of Harmony

You have been in the process of waking up for a while, and you are ready to name it. It is not for everyone. It is not trying to be. It is for those who feel the pull.

When did you last feel fully alive?

Almost everyone can answer that question. The answers look completely different from one another: a parent holding a newborn, a musician losing themselves in a performance, a hiker standing at sunrise on a mountain. The feeling underneath is instantly recognizable.

Something felt real. That recognition is the doorway.

Begin the Aliveness Inquiry

Fifteen minutes. No scores, no levels. A personal reflection and a seven day practice, written from your own words.

the book

An initiation, not an introduction.

It names what has been broken, asks you to feel it honestly, and then turns toward what can be built from the ground of that honesty. It is not a gentle book. But it is also not a book of despair.

I · The Wound

Centuries of imbalance did not arrive by accident. This section names the systems of extraction, separation, and control that brought us here, because you cannot heal what you have not honestly seen.

II · The Remembering

Transformation that does not touch the personal will not hold. The work comes into the body and daily life through practices, embodied inquiry, and the reclamation of what has been suppressed.

III · Systems as Symphony

What do food, health, work, community, and technology look like if they are organized around aliveness rather than extraction? The systems we live inside, reimagined from the ground up.

IV · Living the Shift

Live now as though the world you long for is already arriving. Because in places, people, and acts of courage you may not yet have encountered, it is.

from the foreword

I had spent most of my life being competent instead of alive.

That distinction is what this book is built on. Read the Foreword

I was good at being busy.

For most of my adult life, I was a civic leader, a policy strategist, a transportation executive, and a mother of three sons. I showed up, I delivered, and I kept moving.

Then March 2025 arrived. From the outside, it probably looked like I had lost my mind. From the inside, it felt like I was finding my way back to my own soul.

Standing in a Swedish forest as a child. The first time I held each of my sons. A particular afternoon in Egypt inside a temple that felt more alive than any building I had ever entered. Moments when the noise stopped and something deeper moved through.

I started calling it aliveness.

I am a woman who doubts herself on a Thursday morning and finds awe in the changing colors of the street trees on a Friday afternoon. I am not that different from you.

who this is for

This is for you if…

  • You have been in the process of waking up for a while, though you may not have called it that.
  • Something in the story you were handed about the world stopped adding up.
  • You have felt the rage, the grief, or the particular vertigo of realizing that what you sense in your body does not match what you have been told is true.
  • You are ready to stop waiting for someone else to fix it.
  • You are looking not for answers, but for company, language, and a framework that holds all of it without flinching.

You do not begin by declaring yourself a Warrior of Harmony. You begin by taking the next honest step.

the movement

Your aliveness is not a personal luxury.
It is resistance.

The unfiltered, fully alive human being is genuinely harder to extract from, harder to manage, harder to keep compliant. Walked alone, the warrior's path is just suffering. Walked together, it becomes something the world has not seen in a long time.
